The Gathering of Embroiderers’ is a non-profit event designed to give the more advanced stitcher the opportunity to study in a relaxed setting and exchange ideas and our love of needlework. Any level stitcher is welcome to come and expand their knowledge of the many techniques offered. We also provide donations to museums. Go to
About Us to see what has been accomplished in the past eighteen years.
Our guest teachers are among the very best in the needlework world and offer many projects, including their own designs and 17th and 18th century reproductions.
A Boutique, Book store and more is provided, offering items not found in your needlework shops. A stitcher and chat room is also among the offerings (see application). This allows you to work on your own projects and still enjoy the companionship and meet with friends and make new friends. In the evening, a well lighted stitching room is provided for all the attendees to come together and stitch and chat and share what they are doing.
I hope this overview of the Gathering will encourage you to view the classes and tour arranged for 2010.
